2. The Pre-Columbian era incorporates all period subdivisions in the history and prehistory of the Americas before the appearance of significant European influences on the American continents.

5. I chose the Maya Culture because it sounded familiar to me. The YouTube video is very informational and interesting.

6. In the Maya Culture there is The Great Pyramid of Chichen Itza, and it has 365 steps and the platforms that represent everyday of the year and their alignment and design is so unique that once each year a shadow cast the spring equinox.

The Maya calender is very precise and their timing for solar eclipses is very accurate. After 1500years their calculations are only off by 33seconds. Their calculations for the end of our cycle of life was calculated to be December 23, 2012.And to this day the few remaining Maya Shamans in Guatemala dread this day and continue to calculate it.

The womens teeth had drilled holes in them and then filled with stones and jewels
